Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a patient-facing or healthcare communication role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive, complex, or fast-moving situations in real time
  • Working knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system
  • Understanding of provider visit types and care pathways
  • Knowledge of basic insurance concepts such as deductibles, coverage, and network status
  • General patient navigation workflow experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly across phone, SMS, and email
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently across multiple software systems

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for patients and caregivers
  • Build rapport and establish trusting relationships with patients and families
  • Make outbound calls to educate patients and assist with enrollment
  • Schedule telehealth initial and follow-up visits with Registered Dietitians
  • Support patients with questions related to scheduling, telehealth visits, and general insurance concepts
  • Send follow-up communications through phone calls, SMS, email, and patient portal messaging
  • Provide timely support for inbound patient communications
  • Collaborate closely with Registered Dietitians and other care team members
  • Document patient interactions accurately within EMR and CRM systems
  • Navigate multiple systems and workflows simultaneously
