Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a patient-facing or healthcare communication role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive, complex, or fast-moving situations in real time
- Working knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system
- Understanding of provider visit types and care pathways
- Knowledge of basic insurance concepts such as deductibles, coverage, and network status
- General patient navigation workflow experience
- Ability to communicate clearly across phone, SMS, and email
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently across multiple software systems
Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for patients and caregivers
- Build rapport and establish trusting relationships with patients and families
- Make outbound calls to educate patients and assist with enrollment
- Schedule telehealth initial and follow-up visits with Registered Dietitians
- Support patients with questions related to scheduling, telehealth visits, and general insurance concepts
- Send follow-up communications through phone calls, SMS, email, and patient portal messaging
- Provide timely support for inbound patient communications
- Collaborate closely with Registered Dietitians and other care team members
- Document patient interactions accurately within EMR and CRM systems
- Navigate multiple systems and workflows simultaneously
