Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agriculture economics, animal sciences, or veterinary sciences
- 5+ years of experience in the livestock industry
- Strong knowledge of cattle production systems in South America
- Experience with agricultural policy in South America
- Professional fluency in English and either Spanish or Portuguese
- Experience with methane, greenhouse gas, or environmental research
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Ability to translate complex science to decision makers
- Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally (~30% of the time)
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and interpret agriculture sector data on emissions and livestock production
- Manage agriculture methane projects across multiple countries
- Co-lead and draft technical reports, white papers, and op-eds
- Advocate for ambitious public policies to reduce agriculture methane emissions
- Identify and perform deep dives into market-based mechanisms and agricultural policies
- Represent CATF at conferences, meetings, and public venues
- Manage and oversee work by consultants
