Requirements
- Current Medical Assistant certification required.
- 1–3 years of experience as a medical assistant.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and clinical workflows.
- Comfortable with virtual patient platforms, telephone, text, messaging, and video visit software.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for patient calls and portal messages.
- Provide virtual support for patient questions, appointment needs, and general patient follow-up.
- Collect and route lab results, outside records, and other patient information for provider review.
- Submit and track prior authorizations for psychiatric medications.
- Verify insurance eligibility and resolve medication coverage issues.
- Support prescription refill requests and coordinate with pharmacies.
- Schedule new and follow-up appointments and maintain provider calendars.
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records.
