Requirements

  • Completion of post-secondary education in HR.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with a variety of group benefits programs.
  • Bilingual (English/French) proficiency required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of provincial legislation Canada-wide, including pay equity.
  • Proven strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to distill large quantities of data.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and independently manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve complex tier two inquiries and manage third-party vendor SLAs.
  • Administer life and disability programs and monitor vendor performance.
  • Develop pay equity plans, conduct data analysis, and manage government audits.
  • Establish and evolve total rewards policies to ensure legislative compliance.
  • Coordinate and execute annual benefits enrolment and conduct testing.
  • Provide retirement plan governance to ensure CAP compliance.
  • Establish and administer employee perk programs.
  • Develop comprehensive benefit and HR policy training resources.
