Requirements
- 5+ years of experience (in house or law firm)
- 3+ years of relevant SaaS commercial experience
- Proven success working effectively across business units and internal functions to efficiently resolve complex business and risk management issues
- Experience negotiating B2B SaaS, specifically in software security and compliance
- Experience working in a start-up atmosphere is highly desirable
- Prior Experience building out and leading in-house legal teams
- Proficient with G-Suite, DocuSign, Slack
- Working knowledge of scalable a contract database solution, finance invoicing systems, and project management software
- High technical proficiency and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate a variety of agreements including but not limited to commercial transactions, SAs, DPAs, NDAs, and other commercial matters with domestic and international parties including clients, partners, and vendors
- Assist in management and maintenance of company’s standard contract templates and playbooks that streamline the contracting process, reduce friction with customer, while mitigating risk for the company
- Ensure compliance with security and privacy regulations and standards, securities regulations, corporate governance requirements and other relevant legal and statutory requirements
- Proactively address evolving regulatory and governance compliance environment, including changes in laws, regulations, regulatory focus areas and industry best practices
- Provide oversight and leadership for all legal needs of the business, advising across business function
