Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in government or public sector healthcare benefits sales.
  • Demonstrated track record of closing large, complex deals with state and local government entities.
  • Consistently exceeding quota.
  • Deep familiarity with government procurement processes including RFP/RFI response and contracting vehicles.
  • Strong existing network of government benefits administrators, consultants, and channel partners.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset.
  • Highly organized and process-oriented.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce).
  • Data-driven approach to pipeline management and territory planning.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end new business development for the government segment.
  • Build and execute a comprehensive territory plan.
  • Generate pipeline through outbound prospecting, channel partnerships, inbound leads, and industry events.
  • Drive deals from first contact through close.
  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder procurement cycles unique to government entities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across state and local government.
  • Represent Maven at government-focused industry conferences, trade shows, and benefits events.
  • Partner internally with Client Success, Marketing, and GTM Operations to surface market feedback and support RFP responses.
