Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in government or public sector healthcare benefits sales.
- Demonstrated track record of closing large, complex deals with state and local government entities.
- Consistently exceeding quota.
- Deep familiarity with government procurement processes including RFP/RFI response and contracting vehicles.
- Strong existing network of government benefits administrators, consultants, and channel partners.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset.
- Highly organized and process-oriented.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce).
- Data-driven approach to pipeline management and territory planning.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end new business development for the government segment.
- Build and execute a comprehensive territory plan.
- Generate pipeline through outbound prospecting, channel partnerships, inbound leads, and industry events.
- Drive deals from first contact through close.
- Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder procurement cycles unique to government entities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across state and local government.
- Represent Maven at government-focused industry conferences, trade shows, and benefits events.
- Partner internally with Client Success, Marketing, and GTM Operations to surface market feedback and support RFP responses.
