Requirements
- 10+ years of successful sales experience in public sector, law enforcement technology, cybersecurity, or CJIS-regulated environments
- Proven track record in enterprise software or complex solution sales, ideally in access management or security domains
- Strong experience managing full-cycle sales processes in a territory-based model
- Deep understanding of state and local government procurement processes and contracting vehicles (e.g., GSA, NASPO) is a plus
- Ability to engage and influence senior executive-level stakeholders
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills with a consultative selling approach
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to articulate technical solutions clearly
- Highly organized with strong time management and ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional sales teams and channel partners
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the full sales cycle from prospecting and opportunity creation to forecasting, negotiation, and closing deals within the state and local government sector
- Achieve and exceed regional booking targets while maintaining accurate forecasts and pipeline management in Salesforce
- Engage and build relationships with senior-level decision-makers across public safety, law enforcement, and government agencies
- Position CJIS-compliant security and identity solutions aligned with customer regulatory and operational requirements
- Develop and execute territory strategies focused on new business acquisition and expansion of existing accounts
- Collaborate with inside sales teams, channel partners, and internal stakeholders to accelerate deal progression
- Maintain accurate customer, pipeline, and opportunity data within CRM systems
- Deliver compelling presentations, product demonstrations, and executive-level proposals
- Monitor market trends, procurement processes, and government contracting vehicles to support sales success
- Travel up to 50% to support customer engagement and business development activities
