Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited engineering university/college (e.g., ABET).
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience with a BS degree, OR 8 years of specialized experience.
- Experience in healthcare facility and infrastructure design and construction.
- Expertise in construction management for large-scale, complex healthcare facilities.
- Understanding of VHA standards, including Electrical and Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) design.
- Experience with SHPO, THPO, and NEPA procedures.
- CCM or CHFM certification preferred.
- Licensed Engineer preferred.
- PMP certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Apply management techniques to project planning, design, and construction from inception to completion.
- Assess and apply VA design requirements and directives to project development.
- Develop strategies to integrate utility systems and subsystems into operational units.
- Coordinate with development and user teams to address risks, goals, and needs.
- Ensure full functional and performance capabilities are achieved for infrastructure.
- Manage large scale commercial, federal, or MILCON infrastructure projects.
- Apply expertise to conduct construction forensics.
- Address SHPO, THPO, and NEPA procedural requirements.
