Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Substantial experience managing complex monorepo workspace environments (e.g., pnpm, Turborepo).
- Experience building reusable scaffolding, scripts, and platform tooling.
- Proven track record of designing deterministic, side-effect-free automation and CLI scripts.
- Excellent communication and experience building consensus through Engineering Design Docs (EDDs).
- Proactive mindset with experience balancing immediate pain-points and long-term scaling.
Responsibilities
- Steward the technical direction of our backend TypeScript monorepo and build orchestration.
- Create monorepo scaffolding, shared libraries, and code generation patterns.
- Optimize test suite execution efficiency including test sharding and build graph caching.
- Collaborate on CI pipeline execution to ensure speed and determinism.
- Build CLI scripts and configurations for safe, repeatable automation.
- Partner with architecture and QA teams to identify build/test friction and drive adoption.
