Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive People Operations experience.
- Experience at a fast-growing startup that scaled from 150 to 350 employees.
- Experience managing a distributed or offshore operations team.
- Understanding of multi-state employment compliance and operational risk management.
- Experience partnering with external vendors (payroll, benefits, EOR, immigration).
- Strong project management skills and ability to execute against deadlines.
- Attention to detail handling confidential employee data.
- Expertise in HRIS and driving process automation.
- Experience managing EOR platforms (e.g., Deel, Remote, Rippling, Oyster, Papaya).
Responsibilities
- Lead a distributed offshore People Ops team and provide coaching.
- Establish workflows, quality standards, and SLAs for onboarding, payroll, and benefits.
- Drive HRIS data integrity, automation, and self-service.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, tax withholding, and year-end reporting.
- Lead open enrollment and manage health/retirement programs and vendor relations.
- Manage EOR partnerships for international employees.
- Own the compliance calendar and lead audits for payroll and documentation.
- Oversee onboarding/offboarding and streamline operational handoffs.
- Coordinate with counsel to manage immigration filings and visa tracking.
