Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business operations, finance operations, people operations, or similar roles, preferably in startup environments.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines.
  • Excellent judgment and comfort making independent decisions within defined boundaries.
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to operate calmly and effectively in ambiguous situations while collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Systems- and process-oriented mindset with experience in operational workflow management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee core finance operations including payroll coordination, accounts payable workflows, budgeting support, and recurring reporting.
  • Coordinate people operations tasks such as onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, leave tracking, and performance review cycles.
  • Manage operational compliance, vendor coordination, insurance renewals, and other recurring administrative processes.
  • Own relationships with external partners and contractors, ensuring smooth collaboration and operational continuity.
  • Provide guidance and support to one direct report, assisting with day-to-day operational priorities.
  • Support leadership with operational planning, cross-functional coordination, documentation, and ongoing business operations.
  • Identify operational gaps and recommend or implement improvements to processes and workflows.
