Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, ideally with an engineering background.
- 5+ years of experience working directly for the U.S. Army as an acquisitions professional in a Program Executive Office OR 5+ years at a high-growth defense tech company working U.S. Army business development for air defense/CUAS.
- Strong understanding of U.S. Government procurement, FAR, and non-traditional acquisition pathways.
- Significant experience supporting and writing Federal proposals and market research.
- Demonstrated success capturing multi-million-dollar awards.
- Discerning judgment in strategic thinking and risk assessment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including briefing flag/general officer or SES-level audiences.
- Eligibility to obtain a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential business opportunities and trends.
- Perform regular research to understand emerging programs and opportunities.
- Conduct competitive analysis to gain insights into market dynamics.
- Engage acquisitions leaders, requirement generators, and end users to understand needs.
- Partner with the capture team to develop strategic and tactical capture plans.
- Develop strategic messaging and win themes for proposals.
- Translate customer priorities into capability needs that inform engineering priorities.
- Serve as the U.S. Army lead on proposals, market research, and white papers.
