Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in health information technology or healthcare related field, or High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- 3 years of experience with HIM and HIM related application use.
- 3 years of electronic medical record (EMR) and related applications experience.
- 3 years of healthcare, information systems, or acute care hospital/physician practice experience.
- Ability to drive/travel to multiple locations/facilities as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations for information retention and destruction.
- Must obtain CRIS within 1 year or RHIT within 2 years.
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and training to Release of Information EMR Analysts.
- Ensure timely and accurate response to medical record requests.
- Monitor staff schedules, productivity, volumes, and workflow.
- Serve as a liaison to the Network HIM Release of Information Manager and Director.
- Conduct quality reviews, audits, and issue resolution.
- Facilitate training on HIM-supported applications.
- Maintain up-to-date reference materials and training manuals.
- Perform Ellkay ROI validation and legacy EMR system data validation.
