Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of institutional residential REO asset management experience.
  • Understanding of residential foreclosure processes and REO disposition.
  • Experience managing high-volume REO portfolios in an institutional environment.
  • Experience coordinating third-party vendors including brokers, attorneys, and contractors.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills with ability to evaluate recovery metrics.
  • Experience with asset management platforms and servicing systems.
  • Experience working with institutional investors, private lenders, or special servicers.
  • Background in residential loan servicing or default servicing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a national portfolio of residential REO assets from foreclosure through disposition.
  • Develop and execute asset-level disposition strategies.
  • Oversee third-party vendors including brokers, preservation companies, and attorneys.
  • Review valuations, broker price opinions (BPOs), and marketing plans.
  • Monitor key portfolio performance metrics including days on market and net loss severity.
  • Coordinate with servicing teams, capital partners, and legal counsel.
  • Approve repair budgets, vendor invoices, and disposition plans.
  • Manage escalated issues related to title defects, occupancy, and code violations.
