Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in compensation accounting or a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Highly proficient in Excel with experience working with large datasets
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Experience with payroll platforms (ADP preferred)
- Experience managing complex benefit reconciliations (401K/HSA)
- Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for payroll and benefits-related accounts
- Partner closely with Payroll and HR to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of payroll data
- Review payroll reports against the GL and investigate discrepancies
- Prepare and review benefits reconciliations, identifying and resolving variances
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Perform detailed flux and variance analysis on payroll and compensation-related expenses
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Support the broader accounting team with prepaids and fixed assets
