Requirements
- J.D. Degree.
- Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in credit product, credit marketing, and credit risk/compliance programs.
- Deep understanding of branded, co-branded, and general-purpose cards.
- Expertise in consumer lending and protection, including CCPA, TCPA, and GDPR.
- 3+ years of experience with credit card marketing.
- Expertise in Fair Lending and Consumer Financial Protection Act.
- Experience advising teams on using algorithms and data for credit card advertising.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex legal problems.
- Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills.
- Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative, and adaptive.
Responsibilities
- Lead high-impact initiatives across credit, lending, consumer protection, privacy, and financial services marketing.
- Act as the Legal Lead for partnerships, specifically with Citibank.
- Accelerate speed to market by serving as the single point for legal contract review.
- Develop legal operating models that balance speed with compliance rigor.
- Partner with product teams to design solutions consistent with the Citi program framework.
- Develop legal-business cases that advance go-to-market efforts.
- Monitor and address regulatory developments, including enforcement actions and new rules.
- Manage responses to regulatory examinations, reviews, and investigations.
- Establish internal compliance policies and risk management frameworks.
- Provide guidance on CFPB evolution and its impact on technology and marketing platforms.
