Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- Active state teaching license in Oregon, Wyoming, Colorado, Minnesota, and/or Wisconsin in Science grades 6-12.
- Experience teaching in virtual and/or in-person settings.
- Comfortable with the demands of a live online classroom.
- Confident and engaging on camera.
- Ability to teach live for five or more consecutive hours per day.
- Hands-on experience with online learning platforms and virtual instruction tools.
- Data-informed with ability to read and use student performance data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and self-directed.
- Commitment to maintaining certification and staying current on K-12 best practices.
Responsibilities
- Deliver live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five (5) or more hours per day.
- Create an engaging and structured virtual classroom experience.
- Use student performance data to personalize instruction and identify learning gaps.
- Provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work.
- Maintain accurate records to keep students and families informed.
- Build genuine relationships with students and families through professional communication.
- Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues.
