Requirements
- 10+ years of experience designing for mobile-first, consumer-facing products.
- Experience designing across physical and digital touchpoints.
- Experience with hardware companion apps, IoT, or connected device ecosystems.
- Familiarity with device lifecycle moments (unboxing, onboarding, setup, troubleshooting).
- Strong UI/UX craft with a portfolio demonstrating data-informed solutions.
- Experience designing with and for AI-enhanced experiences.
- Skilled in rapid prototyping.
- Systems thinking ability for scalable frameworks.
- Excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
- Experience with design partner programs or continuous feedback systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end design across Life360's devices portfolio, including Tile, Pet GPS, and other hardware products.
- Understand the devices ecosystem, hardware constraints, companion app interactions, and user mental models.
- Own the in-app experience for how users set up, manage, and get value from their devices within Life360.
- Lead early-stage design by rapidly prototyping hardware-software interaction concepts.
- Map and storyboard end-to-end user journeys across physical and digital moments.
- Design frameworks and interaction models that reduce friction across device setup, management, and troubleshooting.
- Develop scalable patterns that unify the devices experience.
- Partner across Product, Engineering, Brand, Research, Hardware, and Industrial Design.
- Present insights and solutions at both the IC and C level.
- Guide and mentor fellow designers.
