Requirements
- 3+ years managing a team of professional software engineers.
- Proven experience running the full performance cycle (hiring, onboarding, feedback, career growth).
- Strong IC background (IC4-equivalent) with the ability to write high-quality code.
- Experience leading teams that build end-user product features (developer tools, agent/AI products, CLIs).
- Experience partnering with Product and Design to ship features.
- Experience shipping products consumed by or built for AI agents (MCP servers, agent SDKs).
- Hands-on experience using and reasoning about coding agents.
- Experience with async-first communication in distributed teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead a small team of individual contributors as a player-coach.
- Spend up to 50% of time as an IC, contributing hands-on technical guidance.
- Own the team's roadmap and weekly execution.
- Build relationships with direct reports through 1:1s and performance management.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate customer feedback into shipped products.
- Manage the full performance cycle, including hiring, feedback, and career development.
- Represent the team's technical strategy and architecture internally.
