Job Details

Proficient experience working with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases
Solid experience writing and tuning SQL queries, views, and stored procedures
Strong understanding of data modeling principles and indexing strategies
Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for schema migrations (Liquibase or Flyway)
Hands-on experience with cloud-native managed database services (e.g., Cloud SQL on GCP)
Experience with observability and telemetry tools for database performance analysis
Experience supporting ETL pipelines or real-time data movement in cloud environments
Experience working with Git in team environments
Familiarity with Agile software development processes
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Own day-to-day database operations and service requests across cloud-native (Cloud SQL) and legacy SQL Server environments
Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models in support of software and data product teams
Collaborate with architects and engineers to implement scalable, low-latency database services for OLTP and analytical workloads
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for schema migrations using Liquibase or Flyway
Contribute to the automation of database provisioning, monitoring, and security hardening using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
Diagnose and resolve performance issues using telemetry tools to identify slow queries, inefficient indexing, and capacity bottlenecks
Support ETL pipelines and real-time data movement in cloud-native environments
Document and maintain operational runbooks, architecture decisions, and troubleshooting guides
Partner with principal engineers to design reusable patterns and blueprints for common database workloads
