Requirements
- Court certified (state or federal) or court qualified/registered credentials.
- At least 2 years of professional OPI and VRI interpretation experience.
- Full fluency in English and target language.
- Completion of background check.
- Completion of data security and personal information protection training.
- Two professional references as a legal interpreter.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-demand and pre-scheduled OPI and VRI interpreting services.
- Facilitate communication between state government representatives and non-English speakers.
- Ensure correct conceptual and meaning translation while maintaining proper tone and grammar.
- Manage conversation flow and professionally request clarification when needed.
- Adhere to strict data security protocols and protection of personal information.
- Maintain compliance with established ethics and professional standards.
