Requirements
- 5-8+ years of experience in a role focused on problem solving, team management, and/or new business development.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and project management skills.
- Strong technical skills and ease with learning new third-party tech platforms.
- Experience in fundraising and partnership/relationship management.
- Strong communications skills in speaking, writing, presenting, and negotiating.
- Ability to travel up to 60% of the time including for team retreats.
- Must be able to deploy on short notice in response to an emergency.
- Comfort with ambiguity and building systems from scratch.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end design, planning, and execution of improvements to emergency response capabilities.
- Refine and scale deployment criteria and operational playbooks.
- Conduct operational diligence, feasibility, and risk assessments for individual disaster responses.
- Define, track, and report on operational efficiency and impact metrics.
- Manage partners, vendors, and subgrantees to drive excellence in program execution.
- Identify and pursue response-specific and unrestricted emergency funding opportunities.
- Translate field learnings into compelling donor proposals and campaign materials.
- Manage a Program Manager and support broader surge staffing efforts.
- Foster talent development and coaching.
