Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in engineering in the renewables industry.
- 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Expertise in solar plant equipment (PV modules, racking, inverters, balance of plant).
- Expertise in NEC codes.
- Experience reviewing civil, structural, or electrical engineering design packages.
- Experience managing third-party due diligence studies and energy production estimates.
- Proficiency with PVSyst and System Advisory Model (SAM).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, PVcase, ArcGIS, Helioscope, or Aurora Solar.
- Ability to multi-task and manage deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Conduct performance assessments and provide feedback to the engineering team.
- Collaborate with the Vice President to manage resource allocation.
- Oversee daily team workflows and capacity building.
- Analyze site parameters, interconnection studies, and system configuration.
- Lead the team in creating permit and construction drawing sets.
- Manage relationships with third-party engineering firms.
- Specify electrical protection and control schemes for grid stability.
- Provide technical supervision to contractors during installations.
- Oversee punch list inspections, testing, and commissioning.
- Compile project closeout materials and documentation.
