Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • 7+ years of successful business development or sales experience with a strong track record of closing new business in complex environments.
  • Proven experience in consultative, solution-based sales cycles involving multiple senior stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to sell technical, scientific, or customized services to sophisticated enterprise clients.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Experience in clinical research, cosmetics, personal care, life sciences, or other regulated/science-driven industries is highly preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Highly autonomous, results-driven mindset with strong organizational and pipeline management skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex client needs and develop tailored solutions under tight timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead new business acquisition efforts for complex clinical and analytical studies within the cosmetics, personal care, and hygiene industries, with full ownership of revenue growth targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong senior-level relationships with key decision-makers across R&D, clinical, regulatory, and innovation functions at target accounts.
  • Manage end-to-end consultative sales cycles, including needs assessment, solution design, proposal development, pricing strategy, and contract negotiation.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities by aligning client innovation pipelines with available scientific and clinical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal scientific, operational, and commercial teams to ensure accurate and compelling study design and delivery proposals.
  • Provide structured market insights on industry trends, regulatory developments, and evolving clinical methodologies to inform strategic direction.
  • Support development of master service agreements and complex contractual arrangements with enterprise clients.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and ensure disciplined execution of sales activities.
  • Travel up to 40% within the United States to meet clients and support business development activities.
