Requirements
- Must possess appropriate credentials of professional qualifications and current licensure in at least one state as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Must have an NPI number or be able to obtain one upon employment.
- Addiction experience preferred.
- Solid knowledge of key productivity tools like Microsoft O360 (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.), or equivalent.
- Familiarity with administering, optimizing, and/or licensing video conference tools like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, GoToMeeting, Webex, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with administering, optimizing, and/or licensing message platforms like Microsoft Teams, Webex Teams, Slack, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation requirements to assist clinicians, nurses, navigators, and peer guides with workflow and documentation best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work 100% remote.
- Willingness to work on-call.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and adaptable to EBP models of care.
Responsibilities
- Perform evaluations of patients’ needs and assist in the development of customized treatment plans.
- Provide individuals with the resources they need to reach personal goals.
- Coordinate with social and medical agencies, external medical and psychiatric healthcare providers and community outreach programs to provide patients with needed services.
- Complete continuing education courses to maintain licensure and certification and stay up to date on the latest practices.
- Treat social/psychological and behavioral disorders in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
- Provide direct treatment management as well as supervision, evaluation and prescribing of psychotropic medications.
- Provide after-hours consultation/contact for urgent client situations in the caseload.
- Attends required staff and team meetings and case conferences, for the purpose of providing professional input into executing a plan of treatment and assessment of other pertinent issues.
- Participates in medical team/program staff meetings and business meetings as scheduled.
- Prescribes psychotropic medications and conducts regular assessments of therapeutic responses and side effects.
