Requirements

  • Proven experience modernizing monolithic systems into cloud-native, microservices-based architectures
  • Strong expertise in healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, CCD, EDI, and interoperability frameworks
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, data synchronization, replication strategies, and event-driven architectures
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including serverless architectures, APIs (REST/GraphQL), messaging/event systems, and databases (SQL/NoSQL)
  • Ability to design scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise-grade solutions
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate architectural trade-offs clearly
  • Strong execution mindset with a focus on outcomes, quality, and system reliability
  • Experience balancing strategic architectural vision with immediate product delivery needs

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture design and technical direction for healthcare platform modernization initiatives, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Translate product and business requirements into end-to-end solution architectures aligned with enterprise platform strategy.
  • Architect and optimize healthcare interoperability solutions using standards such as HL7, FHIR, CCD, and related frameworks.
  • Design and implement robust data synchronization, replication, and consistency models across distributed and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Refactor legacy systems into cloud-native microservices architectures to improve performance, cost efficiency, and security.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, cloud infrastructure, and security teams to ensure architectural alignment and compliance.
  • Provide technical leadership through code reviews, design guidance, and mentorship to engineering teams.
  • Support the evolution of development practices, including modernization toward AI-assisted and agentic development workflows.
  • Drive enterprise readiness initiatives, including automation, observability, and operational excellence across platforms.
  • Ensure architectural decisions balance short-term delivery needs with long-term platform scalability and resilience.
