Requirements
- 1–2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Full-cycle bookkeeping exposure (AP, AR, reconciliations, reporting)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
- Experience working with US-based businesses or financial standards
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or Xero
- Proficiency with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with Gmail/Outlook, Slack, Zoom
- Proficiency with online banking platforms
Responsibilities
- Record and categorize daily financial transactions
- Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts
- Prepare journal entries and maintain documentation
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality of financial records
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and merchant accounts
- Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Process vendor bills and manage payment schedules
- Issue customer invoices and track collections
- Support month-end close activities
- Prepare basic financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet)
- Support payroll processing and recordkeeping
- Organize documentation for tax preparation and compliance
