- Experience at a company with a product people love, a lean team, and a market requiring earned attention
- Ability to put together a multi-channel growth plan and execute on it (publish blog posts, launch YouTube experiments, set up paid campaigns, read data)
- Obsessed with organic growth and how discovery is changing, including opinions on SEO in the age of ChatGPT/Claude and LLM optimization
- Experience experimenting with video, social, or community-driven distribution
- Scrappy with resources, able to make strategic bets with small budgets and assess effectiveness quickly
- Systems thinker focused on building compounding channels, while also finding quick wins
- Outcome-oriented, focused on trial conversions and paying customers, not just traffic
- AI-leveraged, using AI to run experiments, ship work, and build systems
Responsibilities
- Figure out where Close should show up and go build it, across channels like SEO, YouTube, social, paid, partnerships, and product-led loops.
- Use AI as a force multiplier to achieve the output of a 10-person team, building agent-assisted workflows for content production, distribution, paid testing, and reporting.
- Own top-of-funnel traffic, ensuring it converts to trials and paying customers, partnering with the growth product team on website conversion and activation.
- Win paid in a market with limited budget by finding inefficient corners of channels, quickly optimizing, and maximizing ROI.
- Build distribution partnerships for content co-creation, cross-promotion, and distribution.
- Work with the content team to ensure content drives distribution for chosen channels.
- Prove initiatives are working by building reporting to show increases in traffic, trials, and paid subscribers.
