Requirements
- 2+ years of proven experience in buying, inventory planning, or supply chain coordination
- Experience in retail, e-commerce, or direct to consumer brands
- Strong experience in demand forecasting and stock management
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and data analysis
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory and purchasing data
- Ability to manage multiple SKUs and priorities
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or ERP platforms (advantageous)
- Understanding of sustainable or ethical sourcing practices (plus)
Responsibilities
- Forecast demand for non-seasonal product ranges based on historical data, sales trends, and business objectives.
- Plan and execute purchasing of stock to maintain optimal inventory levels and avoid stockouts or overstocking.
- Monitor stock on hand and track inventory performance across product lines.
- Collaborate with suppliers to manage order timelines, production schedules, and delivery expectations.
- Analyse sales data and inventory metrics to inform buying decisions and improve forecasting accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements, purchase orders, and inventory levels.
- Support replenishment planning to ensure continuity of core product availability.
- Work closely with internal teams (e.g. operations, marketing, and e-commerce) to align stock planning with business needs.
- Identify risks or opportunities in stock levels and provide recommendations to the Planning Manager.
- Assist in improving planning and inventory processes to enhance efficiency and performance.
