Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in life sciences, healthcare, or business strongly preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in medical communications, publications, or scientific marketing environments.
- Proven experience managing teams within a medical communications or publications agency.
- Strong understanding of scientific and clinical concepts with the ability to quickly interpret and apply technical information.
- Demonstrated success in client relationship management and business development within healthcare or pharma accounts.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with experience mentoring and developing professionals.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end management of assigned client accounts, ensuring high-quality delivery across all medical publication and communication activities.
- Manage, mentor, and develop account teams while fostering collaboration across internal scientific, editorial, and project management functions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical and biotech clients, as well as external stakeholders such as key opinion leaders and medical associations.
- Oversee project budgets, financial tracking, forecasting, and reconciliation across assigned accounts.
- Drive new business growth within existing accounts through proposals, presentations, and strategic client engagement.
- Ensure client satisfaction by proactively managing expectations, resolving issues, and maintaining consistent communication.
- Collaborate with internal leadership to allocate resources effectively and support operational efficiency.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on account performance, financials, and growth opportunities.
