- Strong understanding of machine learning
- Strong understanding of deep learning
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with at least one DL framework
- Solid engineering fundamentals: algorithms
- Solid engineering fundamentals: data structures
- Solid engineering fundamentals: system design
- Solid engineering fundamentals: APIs
- Experience setting technical direction and translating product goals into clear, actionable plans
- Experience hiring and growing engineers in growing teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Comfortable joining meetings between 11:00–17:00 UTC
Responsibilities
- Own the quality and impact of our recommendations, driving improvements in key business metrics
- Lead and grow the team through hiring, coaching, and creating an environment where engineers can do their best work
- Set direction for the team and translate product goals into a clear, executable engineering plan
- Ensure the system is reliable, scalable, and meets strict SLAs
