Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience
- Nonprofit finance experience
- Familiarity with ECFA best practices
- Strong GAAP expertise
- Strong internal controls expertise
- Strong audit expertise
- CPA and / or Masters preferred
- Experience in distribution preferred
- Familiarity with GIK accounting and valuation preferred
- Experience supporting boards and audit committees preferred
- Extensive experience in the use and management of financial platforms
- Recent and active knowledge of MS Office systems including Excel
- Ability to prepare, interpret, and communicate financial plans and forecasts
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Advise CEO and executive team on financial strategy and planning
- Lead forecasting, long-range modeling, and resource allocation
- Oversee timely, accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Strengthen internal controls and financial systems
- Lead audit preparation and external auditor engagement
- Lead annual budget and reforecasting processes
- Monitor performance against key metrics and financial targets
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations, donor restrictions, pharmaceutical distribution requirements, and organizational policies
- Oversee cash flow, liquidity, and treasury functions
- Provide financial oversight of purchasing practices and vendor relationships
- Oversee financial aspects of real estate and facility operations
- Maintain relationships with insurance brokers and provide guidance on coverage
- Lead finance team and develop staff capabilities
- Collaborate across Programs, Development, Operations, and Compliance
