Requirements
- 5+ years building and operating large-scale, cloud-native systems (SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering roles).
- Deep production experience with Kubernetes (controllers, CRDs, Helm/Kustomize, autoscaling, security context).
- Experience managing Infrastructure-as-Code at scale (Terraform).
- Strong software engineering skills in Java or Python; ability to read/extend code in other languages when needed.
- Demonstrated leadership: mentoring peers, driving cross-team initiatives, and influencing engineering culture.
Responsibilities
- Evolve EKS lifecycle, multi-tenant isolation, and regional consistency using Kubernetes and AWS expertise.
- Ensure Kubernetes clusters remain secure, performant, and predictable as Iterable scales.
- Improve reliability and cost by identifying areas of waste (storage, compute).
- Improve automation of Elasticsearch cluster management system (shard management, data retention, indexing, cross cluster re-balancing).
