Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as hard-surface environment, dungeon or prop artist.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing work on previous titles or projects in-engine.
  • Solid grasp of PBR workflows and material definition.
  • Proficiency in Substance Painter.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop.
  • Strong proficiency in hard-surface modeling software such as Maya, Blender, Plasticity or equivalent, modern authoring tools.
  • Experience working within proprietary engines.
  • Strong technical execution and problem solving skills.
  • Desire to be highly collaborative and eager to take constructive feedback.
  • Familiarity with 3ds Max (plus).

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of Art Leadership to maintain strict adherence to established metrics and asset creation practices with an eye towards speed and efficiency.
  • Create high-quality, 3D hard-surface assets: modular kits, props, set dressing in a grounded, realistic style.
  • Handle the complete workflow from asset creation to implementation: modeling, UVs, baking, texturing, material creation, exporting and in-engine implementation.
  • Employ creative re-use of existing assets, textures and materials to create new assets from expansive libraries.
  • Establish and maintain a cohesive environment style, with an eye towards detail and an understanding of technical requirements and limitations.
