Requirements

Experience with multiple new exchange onboardings
Understanding of licensing, entitlement, and redistribution constraints
Ability to rethink pricing and packaging models for market data
Experience with expanding across asset classes and geographies for market data
Capability to build against cost and commercial upside for data requests
Experience ensuring market data coverage for internal teams (trading, algo routing, compliance, clearing)

Responsibilities

Define and own Alpaca's market data strategy
Decide what data to source, how to package and price it
Determine build versus buy for data infrastructure
Ship APIs, feeds, and tooling for partners and internal teams
Negotiate or inform negotiations on exchange licensing, redistribution rights, and entitlements
Assess build-vs-buy for data infrastructure
Build the commercial model: define pricing and packaging
Work with sales to grow market data revenue
Own the competitive position for market data offerings
Own the developer experience for market data APIs (REST, WebSocket/SSE, historical endpoints)
Lead partner discovery to understand data capabilities and prioritize development
