Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience with transferable skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to our mission of social change
  • 2+ years of prior experience in consulting or client services
  • 2+ years of complex and comprehensive project management overseeing the work of project contributors
  • 2+ years developing direct reports
  • Experience in corporate and commercial strategy
  • Experience in U.S. health (public health, behavioral health, clinical research, and/or medical practice)
  • Experience in economic mobility (workforce development, financial inclusion, and/or place-based economic development)
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to ~25% of the time
  • Deep understanding of social sector landscapes and how change happens (Social Sector Knowledge)
  • Ability to fundamentally change systems to make them more equitable (Equity & Systems Thinking)
  • Ability to frame complex problems and develop clear, evidence-based recommendations (Strategic Thinking)
  • Ability to own and manage multiple projects and teams concurrently (Project Management)

  • Advanced PPT and Excel skills

Responsibilities

  • Translate high-level scopes of work into detailed and strategic project plans, identifying potential roadblocks and risks, and problem-solve to address them
  • Keep the team on track and evolve work plans as the project unfolds
  • Own the big picture vision of the project; have a strong point of view to steer the team in addressing the central project question
  • Apply equity and inclusion principles, systems thinking, and professional expertise to each project
  • Conduct research, perform analysis, and generate insights and client recommendations
  • Develop high-quality client deliverables
  • Manage client relationship, acting as a thought partner and primary point of contact
  • Lead compelling and engaging presentations; design and facilitate complex discussions with clients or stakeholders
  • Establish a positive and inclusive team culture, building a sense of belonging and trusting relationships
  • Coordinate, delegate, collaborate with, and effectively oversee team members’ work to reach project goals and timelines
  • Develop team members professionally and coach them to continuously improve; provide regular feedback and manage their performance
  • Uphold safeguarding standards consistently and actively report any concerns or violations of FSG's safeguarding policies
