Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
- Proficient in SQL and comfortable writing queries with multi-table joins, window functions, and aggregations
- Hands-on experience with a modern BI platform like Looker (strongly preferred), Tableau, or Power BI
- Proven ability to field both long-term, high-impact projects and urgent requests
- Ability to build effective presentations and briefing documents to communicate insights and influence decision making
- Strong cognitive ability to analyze intricate data sets, identify trends, and translate them into actionable strategic insights
- High level of concentration and meticulous attention to detail required for accurate data modeling, SQL query writing, and dashboard creation
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, successfully balancing long-term, high-impact projects with urgent, tight-turnaround requests
- Excellent cognitive flexibility to bridge the gap between technical data and non-technical stakeholders, crafting compelling narratives that drive decision-making
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations effectively and maintain composure and accuracy when business priorities or project scopes shift
Responsibilities
- Own the BI Analytical Workflow, including building and maintaining clean, reliable data models using dbt.
- Create and maintain critical Looker dashboards.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on key operational metrics to answer the "what" and "why" behind business trends.
- Inform strategic decisions, from market prioritization to cost-saving initiatives.
- Field both urgent, quick-turnaround questions and long-term, high-impact projects.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs.
- Design, test, and support the implementation of new tools and workflows.
- Own the creation and maintenance of critical operational dashboards and reporting tools.
- Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for leadership and other stakeholders.
- Bridge the gap between technical data and operational teams, ensuring alignment and informed decision-making.
