- Track record of influencing executive stakeholders and driving unified strategies
- Mastery of the modern data stack (SQL, DBT, BI visualization tools)
- Experience providing hands-on guidance to analysts
- Experience turning around complex team dynamics and motivating employees through change
- Demonstrated history of identifying and deploying new tools to increase team velocity
- Eagerness to leverage AI-powered solutions
- Ability to navigate uncertainty and translate abstract company strategies into concrete plans
Responsibilities
- Lead the BI analysts supporting Core Operations, Customer Experience and Finance value streams
- Provide strategic insights and robust data products for Alma to scale efficiently
- Establish Strategic Trust & Roadmap Ownership, aligning data priorities with business objectives
- Drive Long-Term Strategic Planning for H2 and 2027 BI strategy for assigned domains
- Bridge the Gap Between Business Needs & Data Products by collaborating with Data Science and Data Engineering leaders
- Ensure Operational & Financial Integrity for the 2026 financial audit
- Directly lead and coach a team of BI analysts, fostering development and high-performance
- Collaborate daily with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Data Scientists for cross-functional alignment
- Continually evolve the team's technical and analytical capabilities, adopting modern practices in SQL and DBT
- Identify opportunities for synergy, establish KPIs/SLOs, and manage operational costs for pods
- Contribute directly to complex data modeling, scalable data asset development, and advanced analytics
- Act as a bridge to business teams, designing training programs and evangelizing self-service capabilities
