  • Proven bookkeeping experience in multi-property environments
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Advanced proficiency in Buildium (or similar property management software)
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make decisions without daily direction
  • Strong analytical mindset for detecting, investigating, and resolving discrepancies accurately
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for async reporting
  • High attention to detail; mistakes in reconciliations or reporting are unacceptable
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets
  • Proficiency in Google Drive
  • Proficiency in Gmail
  • Proficiency in Adobe PDF

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile accounts weekly for each property
  • Track tenant payments and deposits
  • Maintain property-ledger integrity
  • Generate detailed financial reports (P&L statements, cash flow projections)
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies independently
  • Reconcile credit card transactions and assign accurate categories
  • Process vendor invoices, categorize expenses, and schedule payments
  • Monitor aging accounts receivable and follow up on delinquent tenants
  • Maintain separate ledgers per property and produce consolidated reports
  • Track capital expenditures versus routine maintenance
  • Resolve integration errors between Buildium and QuickBooks
  • Provide supporting documentation for tax preparation
  • Assist with occasional administrative or reporting tasks
