Job Details

Requirements

  • Real quilting experience and have created original patterns before
  • Knowledge of quilting language and all kinds of different patchwork techniques such as HST, Flying geese, SNF
  • Ability to teach through writing - clear, practical, and easy to follow
  • Reliable, proactive, and organized
  • Bonus points if you have experience with pattern layout/design tools or basic illustration/diagramming
  • Proficiency in InDesign (bonus)

Responsibilities

  • Design creative quilting projects that fit within a Mrs Quilty format
  • Write different level patterns
  • Write detailed step-by-step instructions for the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced versions of each pattern
  • Include a materials list, finished size, cutting guide, diagrams, assembly instructions, and helpful tips
  • Collaborate with our internal team for feedback, testing, and final polishing
  • Meet deadlines and deliver clean, well-formatted work
