Requirements
- 4+ years of Professional Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- EIT certification preferred.
- Valid Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus.
- Experience designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other large commercial projects.
- Experience working independently.
- Experience managing priorities.
- Experience providing mentorship to junior staff.
- Strong understanding of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards.
- Advanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, including large scale standby and emergency power system, including interactive generator controls systems.
- Experienced in producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies is preferred.
- Experienced with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications is preferred.
- Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility to achieve long-range objectives.
- Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems and perform design calculations.
- Review, sign and seal projects.
- Review submittals, RFIs, change orders.
- Prepare record drawings.
- Conduct site visits and inspections.
- Participate in commissioning work.
- Write and edit electrical equipment specifications.
- Select electrical equipment, systems and devices.
- Ensure jobs are completed accurately, within deadlines and on budget.
