Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in full-stack software development
- At least 2 years focused on backend/full-stack
- 1+ year working with AI/LLM integrations or automation at scale
- Built and shipped automation workflows in production
- Integrated 3+ systems together in a single pipeline
- Wired LLM APIs into business workflows (structured output systems)
- Built at least one internal tool end-to-end (database schema to API to frontend)
- Portfolio or GitHub with real projects
- Worked in a startup or small team environment
- Communicates proactively
- Python backend + React/Next.js or similar frontend experience
- Production experience with N8N, Make, Zapier or comparable orchestration tools
- Hands-on experience integrating OpenAI, Anthropic/Claude, Google Gemini APIs
- Strong API integration skills (CRMs, ATS platforms, communication tools)
- Database fluency (PostgreSQL or similar)
- Comfortable with Google Sheets/Apps Script as a data layer
- Can communicate technical trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Ships fast and comfortable with "good enough to test" V1s
- Self-directed and proactive problem-finder
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automation infrastructure processing 25,000+ candidates monthly
- Integrate LLM APIs (Claude, Gemini, OpenAI) into production candidate evaluation and matching pipelines
- Architect and ship internal tools like matching engines, scoring systems, and data pipelines
- Own the technical build on N8N (self-hosted), designing reliable, scalable workflows
- Eventually build client-facing product features (portals, matching interfaces, AI-powered tools)
- Enable non-technical teammates to operate systems without engineering support
- Design, build, and maintain automation workflows on N8N (self-hosted)
- Build integrations between Workable (ATS), HubSpot (CRM), Google Sheets, and AI model APIs
- Implement error handling, retry logic, webhook reliability, and monitoring
- Optimize workflows for cost (token management, API call efficiency) and speed
- Create Google Sheets-based interfaces for operations teams
- Wire up LLM APIs into candidate evaluation, matching, and scoring workflows
- Build prompt engineering systems with structured outputs
- Develop candidate-to-JD matching tools
- Prototype and ship internal AI tools to solve operational bottlenecks
- Build toward client-facing product features
- Architect data models and backend services (FastAPI/Flask/Node.js)
- Develop frontend interfaces (React/Next.js) for internal dashboards and client-facing products
- Document systems and create handoff materials
