Requirements
- 7+ years of product manager experience in healthcare software development.
- 2+ years as a senior or lead product manager.
- Proficiency with Jira for backlog management.
- Proficiency with Slack for real-time team coordination.
- Proficiency with tools like Miro or Figma for collaborative solution design.
- Experience with Gemini or ChatGPT for effective prompt creation.
- Acknowledged subject matter expert in clinical or healthcare domains.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong initiative and sense of ownership over assigned responsibilities.
- Proactively identifies and champions new strategic initiatives; defines and tracks KPIs for a product line.
- Maintains an evidence-based mentality, prioritizing data and science over seniority or dogma in decision-making.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize positive impact items over busy work.
- Thrives in ambiguous situations, brings clarity to complex, multi-stakeholder problems, and defines a clear path forward.
- Manages the development lifecycle for multiple products and proactively resolves cross-functional blockers.
Responsibilities
- Define, track, and manage product KPIs and ensure all product priorities, roadmaps, and requirements are directly aligned with measurable business outcomes and performance targets.
- Initiate and lead rigorous product discovery efforts, including market research, clinical interviews, and data analysis to identify and validate new product ideation and opportunities, especially those leveraging AI/ML solutions.
- Work directly with UI/UX Design to assure modern, intuitive, and accessible workflow designs that optimize the clinical user experience and adhere to relevant healthcare standards.
- Author detailed and comprehensive requirements documents, including epics and high-quality user stories, ensuring they account for complex clinical edge cases, interoperability standards (like FHIR), and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
- Act as the primary interface with Engineering leads to drive technical discovery, clarify system limitations, and define product scope, working with engineering to scope, prioritize, and reliably t-shirt size features for accurate roadmap planning.
- Own the end-to-end development lifecycle, managing release calendars, ensuring proper defect prioritization based on clinical risk, and authoring/disseminating clear release notes to all stakeholders.
- Work with Solution Engineering and Sales to understand, validate, and solve for complex prospect cases and customer needs, ensuring the product can address high-value market scenarios.
- Actively mentor other product managers on healthcare technology best practices and product strategy; may have a direct reporting relationship with one junior Product Manager.
- Drive alignment across multiple clinical, technical, and departmental teams to ensure product success and resolve strategic conflicts or competing priorities.
- Represent the company as a product expert in sales demos, industry trade shows, and customer meetings, evangelizing the product's value proposition to internal and external executive audiences.
