Requirements
- Strong technical background and experience building production web applications
- Strong experience as a full stack or backend developer with Ruby (Rails experience is a bonus)
- Understand how to write, analyze and optimize SQL queries (PostgreSQL is a plus)
- Customer-focused and like to pay attention to detail and value quality
- Experience building Ruby on Rails applications and APIs
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to provide elegant solutions to Wrapbook customer problems
- Lead and decompose complex, ambiguous projects into actionable technical tasks
- Take ownership of feature delivery from concept to production
- Write performant, scalable, and secure backend code in Ruby on Rails
- Design and optimize data models and SQL queries (PostgreSQL)
- Participate in code reviews, mentor and learn from fellow engineers, and help raise the technical bar
- Ensure code is well-tested and well-architected
- Actively improve our tools, processes and best practices
