Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting support experience
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP for small businesses
  • Demonstrated experience using QuickBooks for another business
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets (e.g., lookups, pivot tables, data validation)
  • Experience with bill pay platforms and/or corporate card systems (e.g., Ramp, Brex, Bill.com or similar)
  • Comfortable communicating with suppliers and customers via email and phone about invoices and payments
  • Professional written and verbal English communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Review auto-generated invoices for accuracy
  • Send invoices to customers and ensure proper recording
  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue invoices
  • Process payments through company payment platforms
  • Match bills and payments within platforms and accounting system
  • Prepare and post journal entries in the accounting system
  • Reconcile key accounts as part of month-end close
  • Help calculate and update key P&L and balance sheet line items
  • Perform structured data entry tasks for key partners/customers
  • Maintain and update internal spreadsheets, trackers, and databases
