Credit Risk Oversight Manager

Strong background in credit risk management within consumer or small business lending. Experience in unsecured, revolving products (such as credit cards) is beneficial. Proven analytical skills to interrogate data and build monitoring. Hands-on experience and/or understanding of scorecards and NPV models. Solid technical toolkit; SQL or similar is a must-have. Experience using a data visualisation tool (such as Looker, PowerBI or Tableau) is a plus. Ability to convey problems and solutions using clear and simple language, both written and verbal. Impact-driven with a self-starter mindset. Ability to provide effective challenge while building strong and respectful relationships.

Providing ongoing oversight of credit risk, analysing product performance, developing monitoring metrics, and inputting to committees. Partnering with first-line teams to support credit strategy changes, including new product launches and pilots. Delivering deep insight, feedback, and independent challenge on credit strategies. Leading second-line assurance work and thematic reviews. Collaborating with model validation and development teams. Providing credit expertise and input into strategic projects and processes like stress-testing. Supporting the maintenance and embedding of the Credit Risk Framework. Making risk meaningful and interesting to everyone at Monzo. Taking a sensitive, balanced approach to risk management.
