Credit Risk Oversight Manager

Strong background in credit risk management within consumer or small business lending Proven analytical skills to interrogate data, build monitoring, and identify trends Hands-on experience and/or understanding of scorecards and NPV models Solid technical toolkit: SQL or similar is a must-have Experience using a data visualisation tool (such as Looker, PowerBI or Tableau) is a plus Ability to convey problems and solutions using clear and simple language, both written and verbal Impact-driven with a self-starter mindset Ability to provide effective challenge while building strong and respectful relationships Passion for technology and excitement about Monzo's mission

Providing ongoing oversight of credit risk, analysing performance, developing monitoring metrics, and inputting to committees Partnering with first line teams to support credit strategy changes, new product launches, and pilots Delivering deep insight, feedback, and independent challenge on credit strategies Leading second line assurance work and thematic reviews Collaborating with model validation and development teams Providing credit expertise and input into strategic projects and processes like stress-testing and forecasting Supporting the maintenance of the Credit Risk Framework Making risk meaningful and interesting to everyone at Monzo Taking a sensitive, balanced approach to risk management
