Staff Machine Learning Engineer

Advanced degree in data science, machine learning, computer science, or related discipline. 10+ years of relevant experience. Broad proficiency in programming languages common to machine learning (Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). Proficiency in systems programming (e.g., Go, Rust, C++, Java, Scala). Proficiency in design and delivery of algorithms, data structures, and production analytics. Experience with design patterns in cloud environments. Demonstrated experience defining, scoping, planning, and delivering complex technical solutions in production environments. Proficiency with modern software engineering tools and processes (Agile, version control, issue tracking, CI/CD, debugging). Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and mentor small cross-functional teams. Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to stakeholders. Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a Secret (or above) US security clearance.

Define requirements with customers and stakeholders. Translate requirements into technical approaches and execution plans. Lead execution teams and contribute directly to project deliverables. Design and automate complex data pipelines and algorithms. Guide the development of machine learning models and custom analytics. Raise insights and feedback to improve practices and expand opportunities. Conduct fieldwork and interface with customers at their work sites.
