Requirements:
Significant K–12 leadership experience (founding/leading school, network, region, system, or senior district/CMO role). Track record of system-level implementation that changed practice and outcomes. Experience in multiple schooling contexts (traditional public district, charter network, innovative environment). Strong program and project management skills. Deep belief in student agency, equity, and public education. Comfortable with AI/edtech and translating between educators and technical teams. Exceptional facilitator and relationship-builder. Strong conceptual and practical thinking skills. High bias for action, flexibility, and comfort in a fast-evolving environment. Bonus: Experience running/supporting fellowships/cohorts for school founders or system leaders. Bonus: Background in research, continuous improvement, measurement, or evaluation. Bonus: Experience working with design studios, intermediaries, or philanthropy.
Responsibilities:
Design a 24-month cohort for leaders to design, prototype, and refine AI-enabled learning environments. Co-create cohort structure, norms, and learning arc with partners. Define clear outcomes, milestones, and evidence routines. Serve as the primary point of contact for key ecosystem partners. Align sessions, workstreams, and artifacts for a coherent program. Convene and manage multi-organization working groups. Coach and support leaders to articulate visions for AI-enabled, student-driven models. Translate visions into concrete pilots, staffing plans, and instructional models. Design and facilitate virtual and in-person convenings. Build a culture of candor, co-creation, and shared practice. Manage logistics, communications, and cadence for program delivery. Help leaders identify high-leverage AI use cases. Coordinate co-build cycles with product and engineering teams. Partner with research colleagues to define and measure student agency and instructional change. Guide learning communities in developing reusable artifacts. Curate stories of student agency and AI-enabled practice for sharing.
