Requirements:
6+ years of progressive accounting experience. Big 4 background strongly preferred. Proven track record owning a close process end-to-end. Hands-on operator mentality. Strong accounting judgment. Experience partnering cross-functionally. Comfort operating in a "blank page" environment. CPA. Experience in a high-growth startup or scaling environment. ERP implementation or migration experience (NetSuite preferred). Experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606). Experience with multi-entity structures. Exposure to SOC readiness / controls design.
Responsibilities:
Design and run the monthly close process. Ensure GL accuracy and balance sheet integrity. Establish accounting policies and judgment frameworks. Define chart of accounts and reporting structure. Implement best-practice accounting processes and controls. Lead audit and tax readiness efforts. Manage external accounting partners. Evaluate and recommend accounting tooling. Partner with cross-functional teams for data quality. Build scalable processes for spend management and workflows. Hire and develop the first accounting team.
